We talk about the partnership between the arts and entrepreneurship all the time (well, maybe you don’t, but in the Office of Career Services we do; we are totally Those People), but what does that actually look like? Like a site-specific installation or a Harry Potter boggart, the intersection between art and entrepreneurship takes many different forms. Sometimes it looks something like this.
Artspace is a website that connects people who want to buy art with the museums, galleries, and artists who have art to move. You might think that the gallery system especially already has this level of the art market covered, but to the entrepreneurial mind, the ability to bring multiple galleries etc. together in one internet portal is a valuable service— and it’s being provided to the folks who have the, let us say, resources to drive that value.
